Our Story

ThreadShare was born out of a hackathon meet in 2024. We all met through this event, quickly becoming great teammates and good friends. Prior to the hackathon, we brainstormed and bonded over our shared ideas. One thing we all agreed on was the significant carbon footprint of today's fast fashion industry. Determined to make a difference, we created ThreadShare.

Our Mission

ThreadShare is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of fashion by promoting sustainable practices and fostering a community of eco-conscious individuals. Our mission is to provide a platform where users can share their style, reduce waste, and shrink their carbon footprint through clothing swaps.

Our Events

We host regular clothing swap events at various locations, providing opportunities for our members to exchange their items in person. These events are not only a great way to refresh your wardrobe but also a chance to connect with like-minded individuals who care about sustainable fashion.

Carbon Calculator

One of our unique features is our carbon calculator. This tool estimates the amount of CO2 emissions saved by swapping clothes instead of buying new ones. It's a tangible way to see the positive impact you're making on the environment with every swap.

Our Vision

We envision a world where sustainable fashion is the norm, not the exception. By encouraging the reuse and recycling of clothing, we aim to significantly reduce the environmental damage caused by the fashion industry. Our goal is to build a community that values sustainability, creativity, and collaboration.
